The 20th Symposium of the International Colour Vision Society (ICVS) will take place in the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, from Friday July 24th to Tuesday July 28th, 2009.

The meeting covers all aspects of fundamental and applied colour vision research, from perception to genetics, and reflects the diversity of interests of the members of the ICVS, who form an international group of physiologists, psychologists, physicists, geneticists, optometrists, ophthalmologists and other related professionals with interest in colour vision and colour vision deficiencies.

A social and cultural program will promote informal interaction and will take the participants through some of the most beautiful sites of northern Portugal, like the famous region of Douro valley, where the grapes of Port wine grow.
